Sustainability Management Strategy Framework

Hyosung Heavy Industries has embedded ESG management into the core of its corporate operations and established the "cONnect" strategic framework, founded on the philosophy of "Connecting value and innovation for a sustainable future" by linking technology, industry, people, and values.

Sustainability Governance Body

Hyosung Heavy Industries has established a decision-making framework to embed sustainability into its management and secure long-term growth, overseeing the sustainability vision, strategy execution, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.

ESG Management Committee

The ESG Management Committee, under the Board of Directors, serves as the company’s highest decision-making body on sustainability. It convenes quarterly in line with the reporting cycle of the ESG Management Promotion Committee, deliberates and resolves major agenda items submitted by the committee, sets the company’s sustainability strategy and direction, and oversees enterprise-wide risk management.

ESG Management Promotion Committee

Hyosung Heavy Industries operates the ESG Management Promotion Committee, which integrates the former EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Committee and CSR Committee. Under the CEO’s leadership, the ESG Management Promotion Committee serves as the executive body responsible for overseeing the company’s ESG agenda and convenes quarterly. Furthermore, in order to establish sustainability goals by sector and monitor progress, four specialized sub-committees operate under the ESG Management Promotion Committee to systematically manage sustainability initiatives across different areas.
