The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international organization whose mission is to promote international trade through the standardization of facilities and activities associated with service goods, and to enhance cooperation in the fields of technology, science, and economic activities.

ISO 9001 certification is an international standard stipulating quality management systems applicable to all industries and activities. A third party objectively certifies that the realization system of a product or service meets the specified requirements and is operated effectively.

All domestic business sites of Hyosung Heavy Industries obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification.

ISO 3834 certification is an international standard for welding quality management systems. A third party objectively certifies that the requirements for enhancing the welding quality of metal materials are met and the quality management systems are operated effectively.

Hyosung Heavy Industries' Changwon Plant obtained ISO 3834-2 certification, the highest level of certification.

The KOLAS-accredited testing laboratory system is a system that allows the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS), which complies with the law or international standards, to accredit the quality systems and technical capabilities of a testing laboratory by a qualified evaluator.

Hyosung Heavy Industries participated in the KOLAS accreditation scheme for testing laboratories in 2021. In April, the transformer testing laboratory and the gas-insulated switchgear testing laboratory were accredited by KOLAS, and in September, the STATCOM laboratory was additionally accredited.

Through KOLAS accreditation, we have acquired laboratory and testing technology capabilities at the international level, and the official test report issued by Hyosung Heavy Industries within the scope of accreditation in the recognized field is mutually recognized by ILAC member nations, thereby earning public trust.

The KEPIC qualification system is a system by which the Korea Electric Association, the KEPIC supervising organization, evaluates and manages the qualifications of organizations and personnel with specific qualifications to perform tasks mandated by the Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC) to ensure the safety and reliability of power facilities (especially nuclear power plants).

Hyosung Heavy Industries' Changwon Plant obtained KEPIC-EN certification.
