In 1984, Hyosung Heavy Industries developed and supplied first of the 25.8kV/25kA Medium-voltage switchgear, and since then Hyosung Heavy Industries has supplied products and services to numerous countries for over four decades.

Offering a variety of products such as Medium Voltage Gas Insulated (ProGIS), Medium/ Low Voltage Air Insulated switchgear (ProSWGR) and Isolated Phase Bus duct (IPB) with capacities ranging from 440 V to 38 kV, we strive to satisfy the diverse needs of customers for oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and distribution industries by developing products with a variety of safety features, including arc resistance, earthquake resistance, and IP-rated enclosures.

To combat the climate change crisis, we also offer products with dry air, an eco-friendly insulating medium for Medium Voltage Gas Insulated switchgear (ProGIS).

Pro MV SWGR

Beginning in 1984, and with the development of 25.8kV/25kA medium voltage switchgear, Hyosung Heavy Industries has supplied products and services to many countries around the world for more than four decades. Enhanced safety feature by providing separate partitions between circuit breaker, busbar, and cable compartments, which minimizes the ripple effect in the event of a failure. The overall compact design reduces the installation area by more than 40%.

Pro LV SWGR

Hyosung Heavy Industries has been supplying 480V, 100kA, and 6,300A Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Center products to various countries for the last 20 years with excellent delivery performance for domestic and international markets. The internal partition is implemented as Form 4b (Type-6), which ensures the simple maintenance and easy accessibility. Its compact size reduces the installation area by more than 20% compared to earlier models, and allowing for efficient substation space utilization and reduced construction costs.

Pro MV GIS

Pro GIS is utilized in a variety of applications like buildings, factories, subways, and other public facilities, which require high reliability and stability with minimal installation space. Medium voltage gas insulated switchgear models are certified in accordance to International standards such as IEC and IEEE for maximum rated breaking capacity of 40kA, and a rated voltage range of 24kV to 38kV. In addition, Hyosung Heavy Industries developed and supplied MV GIS products that are insulated with dry air, an eco-friendly insulating medium.

Pro IPB(Isolated Phase Bus)

In Korea, only Hyosung Heavy Industries has the technology to design and manufacture IPBs. Since 1985, we have supplied products with a maximum rated current of 43,000 A to domestic and international power generation companies, such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
