The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international organization whose mission is to promote international trade through the standardization of facilities and activities associated with service goods, and to enhance cooperation in the fields of technology, science, and economic activities.

ISO 14001 certification is an international standard applicable to all industries and activities for environmental management systems. These systems allow businesses to effectively manage environmental risks by systematically identifying, evaluating, managing, and improving environmental aspects.

All domestic business sites of Hyosung Heavy Industries obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification.

In accordance with Article 33 (Designation of Self-inspection Offices) of the Ministry of Environment's Comprehensive Guidance and Inspection Regulations on Environmental Pollutant Emission Facilities, Hyosung Heavy Industries’ Changwon Plant has been designated as a self-inspection center.

Hyosung Heavy Industries proactively identifies and addresses environmental issues on business sites by identifying and resolving on-site problems. By doing so, we faithfully comply with a variety of environmental regulations and obligations, ensuring that emission facilities and pollution control facilities are operating normally at all times.

According to Article 16 of the Green Buildings Construction Support Act and Article 9(1) of the Green Building Certification Regulations, a number of Hyosung Heavy Industries' buildings have been certified as G-SEED (Grade 4 Green).

In response to rising customer demand, Hyosung Heavy Industries intends to develop and introduce numerous green building technologies and thus obtain G-SEED certification.
